Daily Digest

The daily digest is a personalized email summary FanDesk sends every morning to help you start your day fully informed — without needing to open the app first.

What the Digest Includes

The digest is assembled fresh each day with information relevant to you specifically:

Open Incidents

If there are any open Critical or High severity incidents in your organization, they appear at the top of the digest:

• Incident title and unique key (e.g., INC-42)
• Severity level (Critical, High)
• Current status
• Direct link to view the incident in FanDesk

This ensures incident responders see urgent issues even before opening the app.

Tasks Due Today

Your personal task list for the day:

• Every task assigned to you that is due today
• Overdue tasks (highlighted differently so they stand out)
• Priority indicator for each task
• Direct link to open each task in FanDesk

Today's Calendar

Your full schedule for the day:

• All events in chronological order
• Event title, time, and duration
• Google Meet join links included inline
• All times shown in your configured timezone

Reading List

An AI-curated selection of content relevant to your interests and work:

• Daily Factoid — A surprising, relevant fact generated by AI each morning
• Industry Articles — Content curated based on your role, department, and topics of interest
• Links open directly to the source

Summary Stats

Quick counts at a glance:

• Number of open incidents
• Number of tasks due today
• Number of events scheduled

When the Digest Is Sent

The digest arrives at the start of your active hours in your configured timezone:

• Default: 9:00 AM in your timezone
• Customizable in Settings > Profile (Active Hours)

If you set your active hours start to 8:00 AM, the digest arrives at 8:00 AM. If you are in IST and your teammate is in PST, each receives the digest at 9:00 AM in their own timezone.

Timezone Awareness

All times in the digest respect your timezone (set in Settings > Profile):

• Task due times shown in your local time
• Calendar event times shown in your local time
• The digest sends at your local morning time, not the server's timezone

Customizing the Digest

Enable or Disable

1. Go to Settings > Notifications
2. Find Daily Digest Email
3. Toggle it on or off

The digest is opt-in — it is off by default. Turn it on to start receiving it.

Reading List Preferences

Customize the articles and topics included in your reading list:

1. Go to Settings > Digest
2. Set Topics — up to 10 topics you want to follow (e.g., "SaaS growth", "AI engineering", "startup fundraising")
3. Add Preferred Sources — specific publications or websites you follow
4. Save changes

Your preferences are used the next morning when the digest is assembled.
